Strengthening Neighborhoods, in partnership with the Community Resource Center, operates an annual leadership class for community members. This Neighborhood Leadership Development Program (NLDP) is a "how to" primer on becoming a neighborhood leader or enhancing your leadership skills.
The Neighborhood Leadership Development Program is a project-focused program offered through Strengthening Neighborhoods that supports grassroots leaders. Participants will develop their own personal leadership skills such as conflict management, meeting facilitation, project planning, and working with power holders while developing an actual project for engaging and strengthening their community. Training sessions are offered in both English and spanish. The English-language program will be held on the second Thursday of each month from November 13, 2008 through June 11, 2009. The Spanish-language program will be held on the second Tuesday of each month from October 10, 2008 through June 9, 2009.
