Special Programs and Funds

As a community foundation, The Denver Foundation is uniquely positioned to support and create programs that meet particular community needs. All of the funds listed in this section have their own board or committee that is actively involved in their particular cause. 
From a senior giving circle to the Columbine High School victims’ families, The Denver Foundation administers these funds as part of its portfolio and wholeheartedly supports their missions.

Man with 2 children reading a book For example, The Denver Foundation sensed that young business professionals were looking for a way to give back to the Metro Denver community in a new, innovative way.  The Foundation worked with a team of business leaders to create Social Venture Partners Denver in 1999.  SVP Denver is one of 30 chapters in the country, working to catalyze positive social change by investing time, expertise and money in local nonprofit organizations. SVP Denver has its offices at The Denver Foundation.
