LGBTQ+ Giving Circle, awarded a total of $36,000 in grants to 12 organizations.
This year’s grants are a 125% increase from the giving circle’s first year of grantmaking in 2025.
“Now is the time to get dollars out the door and into the hands of organizations doing critical work for LGBTQ+ communities. With more than 50 members, our giving circle is proud to significantly increase our grantmaking this year while keeping reporting requirements minimal. We recognize the immense pressures LGBTQ+ organizations are facing, and we believe philanthropy should respond with urgency, trust, and fewer barriers–not more hoops to jump through,” said Kat Ling, co-chair of the LGBTQ+ Giving Circle.
The LGBTQ+ Giving Circle launched in 2025 and is Colorado’s first giving circle supporting organizations and causes that impact LGBTQ+ communities. The circle is made up of community members who are passionate about understanding and responding to the needs of LGBTQ+ communities, including those that are most marginalized and under-resourced. They give collectively by pooling their resources to support efforts, big and small, to create positive change.
