Supporting students in their educational pursuits
The Reed Penington Family Trust Scholarship was established to benefit those students who, through no fault of their own, are unable to complete one or more of their final two years of schooling because of lack of funds.
Eligibility
- Current Colorado resident
- Currently a full-time, undergraduate degree-seeking candidate at a post-secondary institution located in Colorado
- Cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.75+
- Demonstrates financial need
Selection criteria
Applications will be reviewed based on:
- Academic performance
- Financial need
- Ability to graduate within the next two academic years
Award details
- Scholarship Range: $2,000 – $5,000
- Typical Number of Awards: 10 – 15
- This scholarship is renewable for up to one additional year (while pursuing an undergraduate degree). Must meet eligibility requirements every year. An individual may only receive an award from this fund up to a total of two times
- Award amounts may be used toward the recipient’s tuition, fees, books, room and board, and additional cost of attendance expenses
- All scholarships will be paid directly to a recipient’s post-secondary institution. Award disbursement is contingent upon the outside scholarship policies of a recipient’s post-secondary institution
- Award must be used for the upcoming academic year
