Support Colorado’s democracy by investing in trusted, community-based organizations that work to increase voter participation, make civic engagement more accessible, and ensure all voices are heard. Your participation is needed now more than ever to protect and expand voting rights and participation.

Elections shape far more than who holds office. They determine the future of housing, education, and families’ ability to succeed. Colorado has made important progress, and there are still gaps among communities of color, young voters, and those facing economic barriers.

Policy work matters now more than ever to prevent the continued erosion of voting rights and democracy in this state and this country. The organizations we support are stepping up in powerful ways, but they can only go as far as the resources behind them.

What does the Civic Fabric Fund support?

The Civic Fabric Fund at The Denver Foundation supports nonpartisan, community-led policy and advocacy work, and voter engagement. Grants prioritize historically underserved communities, young voters, and communities with historically low turnout and low civic engagement. Funding opportunities will be directed as resources are available.

Your gift enables:

  • Multilingual voter education and outreach
  • Grassroots organizing and community engagement
  • Trusted community messengers increasing voter turnout and awareness
  • Community-led civic engagement, closing election participation gaps
  • Long-term civic and policy infrastructure building

“The grant funding enabled us to reach some of the most marginalized and hard-to-reach members of our community, particularly seniors with limited English proficiency. By providing accessible and culturally relevant resources, we were able to break barriers and promote civic engagement among these group.”

“This funding was crucial in our 2024 Get out the Vote efforts. Without this grant, we would not have engaged in these activities and strengthened our community partnerships. This grant also fostered meaningful engagement during a critical election year.”
