The Reisher Scholar Alumni Program seeks to continue a community that extends opportunities to Reisher Scholars after graduation. This community strives to foster social spaces where Alumni, no matter where they are in their journey, can find comradery, professional support, and ways to continue to give back. The Reisher Alumni Program aims to allow scholars to build relationships and succeed as they transition from their higher education institutions.
Reisher Alumni Program Mission Statement
Alumni Board Member
Meet your co-chair, Christy!
She says, “I became involved with Reisher when I received the scholarship in the fall of 2021. I became interested in supporting the scholarship and giving back to my community. I started working as a peer advocate, and recently, my role has changed to a Reisher program assistant at MSU Denver after I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Social Work.” We are so thankful to have Christy on our board and for all of the hard work she dedicates to making the Alumni program so great!
Meet your co-chair, Andrew!
He says, “I graduated in 2014 from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Being a Reisher Scholar allowed me to earn my degree without the financial burden of student loans, an opportunity for which I remain deeply grateful. After previously serving as Co-Chair of the Reisher Alumni Board, I now support the Board in a consultative role, advising the current Co-Chairs and continuing to strengthen our community to give back to the program that gave so much to me.”

Meet Amanda!
She says, “I’m honored to step into the Co-Chair position on the Reisher Alumni Board and continue to give back to the program that has played such an important role in my journey as a first-generation student. After transferring from Aims Community College to the University of Northern Colorado, I served as a Reisher Scholars Peer Mentor and experienced firsthand the strength of this community.
As Co-Chair, I’m excited to strengthen connections among alumni while supporting current and future scholars, as well as developing meaningful ways to bridge these communities. I’m committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome, and I look forward to building meaningful relationships across the Reisher community.”
Meet Hanna!
She says, “I graduated from UCCS (go mountain lions!) in 2021 with my degree in Inclusive Elementary Education. During my time as a Reisher scholar, I served as the Peer Mentor. The Reisher program provided me with such a large sense of community in college and allowed me to begin my future without the added pressure of student debt. Serving on the board is just a small way I can give back to the
community that gave so much to me! I have been on the board since its inception and currently run our social media. In my personal life, I am currently taking a break from teaching to pursue my photography business and be a mom full-time! I am so excited to see what we as a board do next and how we can support our fellow alumni after graduation.”
Meet Anjelique!
She says, “I was welcomed into the Reisher community as a transfer student from RRCC to CU Denver, and have been connected in some capacity ever since. Without Reisher, my path would have looked a lot different. From volunteering to networking and all of the skills in between, I am proud to be a member of the Reisher Alumni Board and love to stay connected with the happenings!”

Meet John!
He says, “I was a Reisher Scholer at UCCS and graduated in 2015, receiving the Reisher scholarship changed my life forever. It allowed me to graduate without the burden of student loans, gave me the confidence to accomplish life goals, and provided me a group of brilliant and inclusive individuals to lean on. I’m excited to build our alumni group and extend a network of support.”
