For a century, The Denver Foundation has been committed to strengthening the Denver community. As we celebrate 100 years in 2025, we are honoring this milestone by investing in projects that promote equity, education, sustainability, and community well-being.
Our centennial initiatives include:
-
Investing $100,000 in La Raza Park, supporting its transformation with native plant landscaping to honor Indigenous communities, reduce water use, and enhance community health. A ribbon-cutting event will highlight this investment.
-
Sponsoring free access days at the Denver Zoo (Nov. 7) and the Denver Museum of Nature & Science (Nov. 8), ensuring families have the opportunity to explore and learn.
-
Supporting the Jurassic Oceans exhibit at Denver Museum of Nature & Science (March 20 – Sept. 7, 2025), brought a prehistoric underwater world to life for thousands of visitors.
-
Funding a new playground structure at the Denver Zoo’s Wild Village, provides a dynamic space for children to connect with nature.
We are also thrilled that the City and County Building will be lit in TEAL for The Denver Foundation turning 100. This will take place from Nov. 7- 10, 2025.
We also received a proclamation from the City and County of Denver naming November 30, 2025, as “The Denver Foundation Centennial Celebration Day.”
We look forward to celebrating with you!
