David Portillo is the Capacity Building and Strengthening Neighborhoods officer, and a nonprofit leader in asset-based community development (ABCD) and community organizing. With more than three decades of experience in education, social change work, nonprofit leadership, and public policy, he advances systemic change. David holds a Bachelor of Arts in English, a Master’s in writing, and various certificates in ABCD, community organizing, and secondary school teaching.
