Denver African American Philanthropists (DAAP) and Women of Color Making a Difference (WOCMAD) partnered to co-grant $15,000 to two organizations. These two giving circles came together to celebrate, preserve and uplift Black voices that create pathways for empowerment.

This partnership highlights what makes giving circles unique. They’re an opportunity for everyday community members to come together, combine their strengths, and make a greater impact through pooled resources and shared decision-making.

Grantees include:

  • Take Care Black Girl Foundation for The Museum for Black Girls. The Museum for Black Girls is committed to empowering young women through mentor programs like Museum for Black Girls Artist Residency and Exhibitions, the Black Girl Summer of Magic, and the Heritage and History tours that provide empowerment to Black Femmes through art, wellness, mentorship, and cultural education.
  • The Crowley Foundation. The Crowley Foundation prepares young people for society, future educational endeavors, and personal growth. Its commitment to mentoring and educational advancement—through programs such as its leadership development initiatives, academic support, college prep, and community engagement efforts—continues to create pathways of empowerment, leadership, and success for Black youth in Denver and beyond.

DAAP and WOCMAD each made additional grants within their own circles.

DAAP awarded $2,500 to Traillionaires Foundation, and WOCMAD awarded $5,000 to Opening Act.
