The Diane Hoppe Water Memorial Scholarship provides scholarships to Colorado High School students planning to attend a public institution of higher education in Colorado who are interested in western water issues.
Eligibility
- Pursuing higher education in Colorado
- Graduating high school seniors or freshmen at an institution of higher education
- Interested in the topic of Western water
Students identified as emancipated and/or foster care youth are highly encouraged to apply!
Selection criteria
- Commitment to the field/passion for the work
- Vision for the future
- Reference(s)
- Scholastic potential
- Preference is given to:
- Students interested in pursuing a career in water or water-related fields (e.g. agriculture)
- Students demonstrating leadership in Western water issues or water-related issues (e.g. agriculture)
Award details
- Scholarship Range: $2,000
- Typical Number of Awards: 1
- This scholarship is a one-time award
- Award amounts may be used toward the recipient’s tuition, fees, books, room and board, and any additional cost of attendance expenses.
- All scholarships will be paid directly to a recipient’s post-secondary institution. Award disbursement is contingent upon the outside scholarship policies of a recipient’s post-secondary institution
- Award must be used for the upcoming academic year
