Associate Scholarships Officer
As an Associate Scholarships Officer, Melissa focuses on building and maintaining relationships with students, donors, and partner institutions to boost access to higher education for all Coloradans. Melissa comes to the foundation with a BA in Psychology and Business Administration, with a focus in Gender and Identities Studies from Saint Martin’s University (SMU). Through SMU, they stumbled into the world of philanthropy, working at another foundation, managing scholarships, grants, and an annual online giving campaign. Melissa recently transplanted to the Denver area with their adventurous dog, Teddy, moving here from their home state of Washington.
A self-proclaimed ‘nerd’ who enjoys board and video games, D&D, reading, and learning, Melissa can also be found venturing outdoors with Teddy to “touch grass.”
