Painter Service for Others Scholarship (UA)


 The Painter Service for Others Scholarship supports full-time undergraduate juniors and seniors pursuing degrees in teaching or social work at a Colorado-accredited four-year institution, including students transferring from a community college.

Eligible candidates will be working toward a K-12 teaching certificate or following a course of study in social work with a special emphasis on assisting children and young adults.

Eligibility

  • Will be a full-time junior or senior (minimum 12 credits/semester) at a 4-year Colorado accredited post-secondary educational institution or will be transferring into one from a community college.
  • Intend to pursue a career as a K-12 teacher or a social worker focusing on assisting children and/or young adults.
  • Cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.5+ OR GPA of 3.0+ in their major
  • Demonstrate financial need through completion of the FAFSA, CASFA, or other approved sources.
  • Participated in significant volunteer/community service work in high school and in college.
  • Demonstrate a high level of social concern and leadership skills.

  • commitment to the field/passion for the work
  • extracurricular activities and leadership
  • vision for the future

Award details

  • Scholarship Range: Varies
  • This scholarship is a one-time award. However, past recipients and applicants are encouraged to reapply each year in a competitive process. Previous recipients are not guaranteed an award upon re-application.
  • Award amounts may be used toward the recipient’s tuition and fees.
  • All scholarships will be paid directly to a recipient’s post-secondary institution. Award disbursement is contingent upon the outside scholarship policies of a recipient’s post-secondary institution
  • Award must be used for the upcoming academic year
